eCairn's Top 150 Social Media Marketing Blogs OPML

The folks over at eCairn have developed their "influence ranking algorithm" and unleashed it's goodness within their Conversation application. To highlight the power of the algorithm the team has offered up a list of the top 150 social media marketing blogs as a treat for all of us.

As you may or may not be aware someone had created an OPML file that claimed to be a version of this list. Over the past few days that OPML file has made the rounds. But I found that a lot of people (the eCairn team included) had no idea that the author had added their own personal bias to the list and not only omitted sources they did not like but also added sources that I guess they felt should have been there but weren't (including at least one personal friend).

Long story short, I have created an unaltered version of their list as an OPML file and have been in private contact with a member of the eCairn team. This has resulted in them linking to me and the file I created! Needless to say I could not be more thrilled that the team accepted my gift. It was never my intent to step on anyone's toes with this file but rather provide the community with a true representation of the algorithmically created list, as offered by eCairn, without any personal or professional bias.

So if you downloaded an OPML file recently thinking it was a genuine list of the top 150 from eCairn, odds are you got the biased file and you can find a link to the correct OPML file at eCairns original blog post on the topic.
